The Music Store

Created by Dalene 11 years ago
A man and his boy walk into a music store with a mandate for each of them to find an album to purchase. This was an exhilarating time for the boy since he had never owned his own music before. It did not take long for the boy to realize that he had no idea what to buy. It was obvious what he had to do. Searching for a moment, he found his father around the corner and asked, “What’s good?” This was an opening for the man to mold is son into his own image while steering him away from that awful Rock-n-Roll the kids were listening to. “Barry Manilow would be a good choice.” The man suggested. Lacking any other information the young son agreed. Nevertheless, the boy would soon grow out of that choice of music into the damning sounds of more youthful ones. He did, however, hold on to one particular song from that album, “I Made it Through the Rain”. That song became their theme song after a very difficult time. By Dannon Schmidt
